On Sunday, December 16th, we will be conducting scheduled maintenance of Mikogo’s database-system between 17:00 and 18:00 (UTC +1). As a result our systems will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes during this time. During the downtime period, users will not be able to start or join Mikogo sessions. However sessions that have already been started before the downtime begins should continue to run and be unaffected.
We would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance. While we never like to have interruptions to our service, we hope you can understand that when it comes to software and SaaS the occasional update is necessary, and that this will ensure that the Mikogo service runs as smoothly as possible.

Mikogo is pleased to announce that we recently received the highly regarded ISO 9001:2008 certification in recognition of our commendable quality management practices. Mikogo has been given the certification in accordance with the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a standard-setting body made up of representatives from national standards organizations around the globe. The ISO “gives state of the art specifications for products, services and good practice, helping to make industry more efficient and effective.”

We’ve received many job applications over the years at Mikogo and while we appreciate every single one of them, some are far below par. We recently posted one example of such a poorly executed application on our Facebook wall to share what not to do. In fact, we’re often surprised how many mistakes some people make, how little research they do about the company, its products and the job offer, and how little love they put into their resumes and cover letters. All of these mistakes can be spotted very easily which is a shame because after all, you’ll be working many hours every day for that company and you’ll probably do it for several years. So why not invest a little more time into finding and applying for that job which you really want? Why Online Meetings? And if you’re going to meet online, why should you use Mikogo? These are just a couple of the important questions which we have answered in our explainer video to assist new website visitors.
Making such a video was quite a fun and interesting project. We wanted to produce a video that would sum up Mikogo in just a couple of minutes to those who have never attended an online meeting and help them grasp the idea of desktop sharing. To get this right, we had to put ourselves in their shoes, pinpoint the right questions and spent some time drafting and tweaking the video.
