@JO,
we agree that the time zone selection is not optimal and it is on our agenda to be improved. Because Mikogo is used so internationally it would be best to use the most global time zone system, and one that is also consistent all year round (taking into consideration daylight savings). Using city names could help, but also raises the question of space in the software interface.
We have listed this as an improvement in the product dev plan and hope to improve it soon.

I love mikogo and i use it primarily for remote support
the one thing i miss is the ability to automatically reconnect after reboot
if it had this it would be the best ever
also linux support would be a bonus

I would love to see Mikogo turn into a mobile app for iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and Android.

I have a droid now and have a remote desktop app to hop on our servers at work if need be, but it would blow my freaking mind if I could start a Mikogo session from my phone, have a user connect, let me see their desktop, and resolve their issue from my phone.

It would be great if we had a highlighter feature in addition to the pencil feature. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to simply highlight a portion of a presentation without blocking out other portions as it is now…Just a thought!!

Love the product and service…Thanks a lot for providing it…especially to us small businesses that can’t afford Go-To-Meeting or AQ Conference.

Support for Linux …. please …
preferably of the ubuntu/debian flavours.

I have been using mikgo for years, and at one point I could have use it in client and sever modes (i.e. starting a session and others joining). Now I could only use it in client mode. Even if the mikogo team released a non-native version that works well reasonably well under wine I would be happy….

I too, would love a linux version. I have finally abandoned Windows, and this is the only thing, besides a good OCR program with a GUI that is missing from Linux.

Great program! My requests in order:
* Decent multimonitor support (read on the forum there is some in version 4, but i couldn’t find more detail on that. Also, no beta)
* choosing the monitor to share
* fullscreening a viewer session expands to the monitor in which the viewer is, not the default monitor.
* Simple but informational mouse-over-tooltips on the icons when using the viewer in fullscreen mode
* Monitor-part-selection: share only a part of the screen.. (i have a 1920×1080 resolution and wish to share only one application (1000×800) with people using 1280×1024)
* builtin VOIP would be highly appreciated (3+ audio conferencing as mentioned many times before)
* Linux support (ubuntu/debian) would be so great

I would find it VERY useful if connecting to a “View and Control” session that upon connection to the client PC that it would automatically change to settings of your predetermined choice to maximize session Quality and Speed, without having to manually make the changes after connection.

Love the product. Most of the existing suggestions are excellent, too. Please note that I really debated posting this as I would refer to avoid disparaging other users ideas. However, I like the existing feature of requiring the remote user to acknowledge and sharing or K/M takeovers. If it were possible to use the product to remote control a machine without forcing the remote user’s interaction my clients would likely be discouraged from using it. Allowing the software to automatically control a remote machine is not a positive, I believe. Perhaps you enable such a feature in a different paid version, or alternate version download, if users must have it. Thanks, again, for a phenomenal product.
