New Mikogo Add-ons: Have your say and vote
As most of you may already know we have a couple of free Mikogo Add-ons to enhance your free online meetings – the Mikogo Skype Extra and Mikogo Firefox Add-on.
Mikogo Skype Extra: enables you to directly invite your Skype contacts to a Mikogo meeting and therefore benefit from free calls, chat, video and Mikogo screen sharing. Once you’ve downloaded the Extra, all you have to do to get started is click on a Skype contact and invite them to a free Mikogo Skype meeting. For more info and how to get startetd take a look at the Mikogo Skype page.
Mikogo Firefox Add-on: With the Firefox Add-on you can start or join a Mikogo meeting straight away from your favorite Web browser. Just add it to your Firefox browser, and you’ll receive a small M button in the upper-right corner of your browser.
We are looking into further development of more Add-ons for Mikogo and we would like to know which Add-on you would prefer the most:

Hi
I just wanted to try your addon for skype, but I received error This plugin is not allowed. Is this because I use Skype 4 Beta? If so, could you fix this problem or is there problem with Skype?
Hi Jaan,
Strange that you received that message. We’ve tested the Extra with Skype 4 beta, and haven’t had any issues. What about when you use other versions of Skype?
I’ll look into this and get back to you via email asap.
Cheers,
Andrew
Mac users. We love this stuff. Please make it work for us.
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Mikogo Extra is working as usual on Skype 4 beta. Once you’ve got the Mikogo Extra, simply update from your current Skype version (3.8 for example) to Skype 4 Beta. And then….. Hey presto! – You have free Mikogo screen sharing with free Skype calls!
I also get the “This plugin is not allowed” w/ skype 4.0 beta2 and vista. i have authorised it, and checked in the tools/options that it is authorised.
@Don, I emailed you a suggested solution earlier this week on updating Skype 3.8 to Beta 4 with the Mikogo Extra so everything will work. Feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers, Andrew
Will this work on Mac, Linux, Solaris? If not, what is roadmap to expand for enterprise usage?
From Skype 3.8.0.154 I upgraded Mikogo(which used to work fine). It now does not work.
First thing it asked for was confirmation (Vista). After that it says is it does not have internet access.
I have upgraded to Skype 4 Beta (which appears as version 3.8.0.180) and still not working.
I uninstalled Mikogo, downloaded from mikogo.com, created new account, etc. Best it does is “Can not access internet”.
I am running Vista and never had a problem with Mikogo/Skype. With the new version of Mikogo, Vista now needs confirmation to run Mikogo…after clicking ‘Allow’, nothing happens. I have turned off Vista User Account Control and Mikogo still does not work.
At this point I am wishing Mikogo was not upgraded. So I tried to run without the upgrade…still does not work.
Suggestions?
@Scott

Hello,
Mikogo is near perfect, I just would like to have integrated chat possibility without adding Skype (as for example in WebEx). It may be very practical to send short message to all participant.
Best regards,
Marc Jeanmonod

Are you working on an update for the new FF Versions?
Ok, thats it: there is a point “.” at the end of your link above………
@micha555
Thanks, I removed the “.” from the link.
Currently developers are busy working on new features and software for the release of version 4: http://www.mikogo.com/2010/02/18/suggestions-session-invitations/
Remember that you can always use Mikogo to share your Firefox (or any web browser) content to your participants during a session.
